Cleared for pour!

The inspection of the dig out and foundation forms yielded an “okey-dokey” today. Hurray! Tomorrow morning the place will again buzz with people and trucks and lots and lots of concrete. Yes, the foundation gets poured in the morning.

There’s a great sigh of relief all around that we can proceed as Troy leaves way-too-early Saturday with his fiancée to Kauai to get married. While he’s off celebrating, the foundation will be curing and I will have tackled more of the backyard and garden.

I can’t say enough good things about working with Troy. He knows his stuff and doesn’t cut corners. He isn’t a political schmooze–he just does honest, good work. I have a profound appreciation for that. Tomorrow we’ll all do a happy dance over the foundation and maybe when he’s at some Luau, they’ll teach him the hand signs for “concrete poured and we’re so happy.”
