Goin’ vertical

The first wall was the one that will be home to the electric meter. It went up Wednesday morning. On Thursday, the front wall went up. On Friday a lot more lumber was delivered to the driveway. Enough so I can barely park there now (and my car is tiny!)  The plan is to have a crew in next week to erect the rafters, so I’m hoping all the walls are up! They’d need to be for the rafters.

I blew an inspection this week: I got the meter can in and called for inspection, forgetting to run that little yet so important copper ground wire from the rebar to the meter can. DOUH!

I have some work travels coming up soon and my mind wanders to Extreme Home Makeover. I allow myself to muse for a moment on returning from a trip to find my driveway crowded with friends and the addition COMPLETED!!!  Shhhh! Don’t say anything. Just let this girl dream for a moment!
