Badger Creek Trail
|April 30, 2016– Badger Creek Trail provides our end-of-day accommodations. Despite four cars at the trail head, we don’t encounter another person while we’re there. Our goal is to hike to the top of the ridge for a panoramic campsite but as we travel, we see angry clouds peeking over the top at us. Could mean snow is coming. Further on the temperature drops and a gusting wind blows. I’m not one to balk at camping in a snowdrift, but we were planning an easy in/out to continue some snooping around in the Gorge. We turn back and set up camp for the night on lower, more sheltered grounds closer to the trail head. The evening light was beautiful.
