Water

img_9373I have been enjoying capturing water this summer. I cannot say I have a particular reason for the attraction; maybe it is because I started out the spring with beautiful hikes in the dry, yellow-orange wilderness of Utah. Flowing water is still, yet constantly in motion. Its paths are fairly predictable. Its presence indicates life is possible. Its sound is relaxing to the mind. As much as I have enjoyed fine tuning exposures to best reflect what I see when I look at water movements, I forever seem to have one regret. It’s so beautiful, so inviting, yet here in the Pacific Northwest, it’s so c-c-cold. Spring. Summer. Doesn’t matter. So for me, it remains untouchable beauty. Although, occasionally, I am still known to slip my feet into the icy pools for a quick post-hike soak.
