Garage door

Today’s the day I  attempt to order my garage door.
An installer was highly recommended to me so I called previously. The conversation went like this:

“Hi, um, I need to learn your price for a garage door for an addition I’m building. You were recommended to me by Troy Wilson.”

“Yah, ok. What size are you looking for?”

” It’s just a one-car garage so probably a nine or ten foot wide one.”

“We’ll you’ll have to build it for a 12 foot door.”

“I can’t. I can’t go any wider on the lot so the maximum garage framing width is about 11 foot 4 inches.”

“Well let me give you a web address and you can see the different styles, insulation levels and then I can give you a firm quote once you pick out those. I assume you want a garage door opener too?”
(he provides web address and directions where to look)

“Yes, that’s great. So, I’ll call you back with that.”

“Ok, do that. Just make sure to plan a 12-foot opening.”

“UUUuuuuhh. Ok, we’ll talk later. Thank you.”

Given even this website stated all doors were available in 9, 10 and 12 foot widths, do you think
1- this guy only sells the 12 foot ones? or
2- this guy wasn’t really listening?

I guess I’ll find out today.
