Living in a multi-tasking world…
|Yesterday and today have been reminders that we all have several lives going on at once. Troy did not proceed with work plans because his morning was interrupted by a phone call from his son’s school telling him to pick up the young fellow who was apparently rather ill. Troy’s day was spent at the doctor’s office.
Next, my door order did not get placed because Jarrod not only runs Sherwood Doors, but also runs Grendel’s restaurant, where his chief cook called in sick. At that moment, Jarrod is shopping, prepping and cooking for the restaurant instead of placing door orders. I personally appreciate any cook who knows enough to call in sick rather than cough all over my dinner!
And today was my turn… I just realized the day next week I have helpers and a large truck, I’m supposed to be at a work meeting in Bend, Oregon. I am attempting to reschedule the furniture move date.
Yup, we’re all multitasking jobs and responsibilities. So far, I am content: the inconveniences have been evidence of priorities set right. Signs that my contractor is also a good dad and my door guy takes all his jobs very seriously.
